Prognosis or Current State of Vision
Macugen Injections have worked to hold my wet eye vision at 20/40 thus far. The new Lucentis drug has the possibility of improving this vision.

Mother (glaucoma); Uncle (her brother) had MD

Not much yet.

Positive Effects
Met the MDSupport Group on line where I have found a wonderful and helpful family which has been helping me with all the information I ever wanted to know about MD and the support to help me deal with this disease.

Adaptations
Tiny flashlights attached to purses and in jewelry boxes; magnifiers in kitchen and at desk, additional lights at my side of the kitchen table, at my desk, and at my favorite chair.

I sing Baritone with the Magic Valley Chorus of Sweet Adelines in McAllen, Texas. I also sing in the Shades of Grey Quartet with the Lead from Minnesota, Bass from Indiana, Tenor from Michigan, and me (baritone) formerly of Wisconsin. I also play the accordion for fun and friends.
