Family History
None in grand parents or parents. Of 5 brothers, only younger brother is legally blind. Mainly because of nutritional deficiency of mother in her pregnancy, due to ignorance.

Impact on Life
Momentarily traumatic. But since birth, I knew I was a different and special one. Easily coped with loving care at home and later in outside world. So much so that never learnt use of white cane or Braille.

Effects
Several. I realised that we are integral with God whom we should thank for the every breath we take, who gave life in mothers womb. With God, there may be delay, but no denial. But I am not ritualistic and do not pray. I know we all are disabled, or rather enabled differently. I learnt to love myself, who else can love me more ? My mental abilities sharpened and got excellent career growth.

Adaptations
JAWS, scanning software to convert to audio, talking scientific calculator, now laptop, goldwave etc. I am very tech savy. But mobility limited and depend on chauffeur driven car and wife and school-going daughter at home.

Employment
I am graduate from a top management institute where I competed with sighted on merit, using only reader-writer but no extra time. Now my skills in econometrics have made me a very senior executive in large banking company.
