Impact on My Life
I quit driving a car at 27 years of age, though I was still legal to drive, did not feel secure enough to be on the road. Find struggled in everyday life, especially with a 14 month old and one expected anytime. Still trying to complete my BA in Liberal Arts... ultimate goal to be a teacher.font>
Positive Effects
In spite of my poor vision, life isn't all that bad. Have wonderful blessings in my life and hope for more everyday. I have gotten used to the visual changes over the years. I have had 24 years to know the ultimate cost of my visual disease.
Adaptations
I have some maginifiers, I reverse the screen on my computer to white lettering on black backround, I am able to wear contacts, and have some new equipment that I am looking into getting to help with college and distance.
Working
Currently I am on maternity leave, but I work, and have for 8 years, as a Certified Nurse's Aide in Rehab and Long term care.
