Vision
Continued loss of central vision.
Family History
Mother has MD - diagnosed at age 70 (will be 100 in March
2000).
Impact on My Life
No longer drive. Gave up golf except with select few who don't
mind watching where my ball goes.
Positive Effects
Other than this group, none that comes to mind.
Adaptations
Use binoculars, also planning to move to Sun City Georgetown,
Texas, where I expect to putter around in a golf cart, resulting in
a gain in independence.
Working
Retired (before MD diagnosis).
More About Me
Electronic Engineer (Oklahoma 57) designed Bomb/Navigation Systems
for B-58, F-111 and F-16 aircraft. Married to same girl (she would
like that) for 48 years, 3 daughters and 2 grandsons. Oldest child
is 46 with no signs of MD yet.
