Prognosis
Left eye is very good with no distortion. Right is distorted and can read only with left eye. I have very very high myopia in both eyes. -11 in one.
Family History
Mother has dry and wet MD, right eye is wet. Dr's say it is totally heriditary, one physician thinks it is myopic MD. RS says it is mom.
Impact On Your Life
Adjustments: glasses now, no contacts although I can wear them at times. Supportive husband and son make me feel it will be ok. Very scared at first. I have told few people and it is not obvious that I have any impairment.
Positive Effects
Appreciate what I do have, and not just vision. My physicians have made me see that my vision could be so much worse and to just move ahead with some vision loss. They are right.
Adaptations
Have always used a Mac, and it is easy to modify for vision. Sometimes reading a book is difficult, perhaps a Kindle for books is in my future. Do not drive at night unless close to home.

Work full time, insurance
