I have just been diagnosed with Stargardt's about a month ago and only have sensitivity to the sun or bright lights and a bit of distortion when reading
Family History
A cousin's son has Stargardt's (was diagnosed at age 15 and is now legally blind at age 27)
Impact on My Life
Since I've just been diagnosed I have doing a lot of research on this disease to find out as much as I can. At 38 I feel my life will be forever changed when my sight begins to deteriorate more, but I must be positive.
Positive Effects
That this disease did not start at an early age as some, and also that I have a caring, loving husband to help me.

Employment
I have a daycare in my home. I love my work and can't imagine not having this job anymore.
