Treatment
I lost vision in the left eye in 2001 and in the right eye in 2005. I had macular translocation surgery on the right eye in 2005 that restored vision in the eye to 20/60 uncorrected and about 20/40 with glasses (bifocals). I wear about 6 power glasses for fine print.
Prognosis or Current State of
Vision
I have been stable for two years now. I continue to work with low vision equipment provided by my employer (large screen monitor, scannder, magnifier. I can read, use toe computer and do most anything I want except drive (lack of depth perception and 15 degree tilt left over from surgery that has transferred to my left "bad" eye.
Family History
Father was mildly nearsighted. Mother wore only reading glasses until her death at 90. All brothers and sisters were/are myopic.
