Impact on My Life
It doesn't bother me at all, but I am going into grade 7, and it might be hard to carry all my low vision equipment around. Sometimes I wish I could just pick up a book and read it, but I cannot because of my eyes, but in 2005 I got a MyReader, and I can read a book now. It is good for me. Having Stargardts has made me realize that people in our world takes things for granted. I wish people would not worry about the little things in life and enjoy their life. The best part about life is that you have people who care about you, like my mum and dad.
Positive Effects
Because of having Stargardts, my lovely mum and dad took me to Disneyland, and I had a good time. I forgot about my eyes and had a good time, because people with Stargardts, sometimes get depressed about having Stargardts, but we are no different than the people with sight. Like my doctor says, it is not the camera, it is just the lens that doesn't work. Ha.
Adaptations
My mum and dad had to get a big TV so I could see it, because I can not see it, and I had to get a laptop and a mimeo for school.
Employment
I am still at school.
More About Me
I want to be a model, and if I can become really famous, then I can use this to educate people with eye problems and raise money for cures.
